The Ambassador

Born on 1 November 1962 in Neuilly/Seine, Véronique de La Rochefoucauld is married with 3 children.

After several jobs in the consulting business in France, she moved with her family to Madagascar (Tananarive) in September 2000.

From 2001, she was Chargée d’Affaires for the Sovereign Order Malta in the Republic of Madagascar.

Between 2001 and 2006, she was founder and president of the Association d’Accueil de Tananarive (250 members) for expatriates.

Véronique de La Rochefoucauld presented her credentials to H.E. Mr. Andry Rajoelina, President of the Republic of Madagascar on March 27, 2013.

On October 26, 2015 she also presented her credentials to H.E. Mrs. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of the Republic of Mauritius. She represented the Sovereign Order of Malta in that country until November 2020.

She is a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (France) and has been awarded the Cross of Grand Officer of Merit of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
